A dental bridge is a possible option to replace a missing tooth or teeth. A bridge is made of at least 3 to several crowns soldered together over a span of space where there is a missing tooth or teeth. The crowns at the beginning and end of the bridge are attached to your teeth by filing them down and removing a layer of tooth all the way around in order to serve as a post to cement a crown to. The crowns in between these are called pontics and are what fill the space of the missing tooth or teeth.
Bridges are made of porcelain/ceramic.
